anonymous Olfactory neuroblastoma (100%) nil  100
anonymous Olfactory neuroblastoma (100%) The tumour cells may be positive for NSE, chromogranin, neurofilament. The cells at the periphery may be positive for S100.  100
anonymous Olfactory neuroblastoma. 100% Nil  100
anonymous Olfactory neuroblastoma Confirm diagnosis by immunostaining for synaptophysin and chromogranin.  100
anonymous ALVEOLAR RHABDOMYOSARCOMA 70%, OLFACTORY NEUROBLASTOMA 30%. In the H & E section, there is a significant histologic overlap between the 2 differential. Immunostains are important for diagnosis. Muscle markers eg. desmin, actin for rhabdomyosarcoma; neuroendocrine markers eg. synaptophysin for olfactory neuroblastoma.  60
anonymous Small round cell tumor, consistent with olfactory neuroblastoma.(100%) Confirm by immunostains. The cells should be positive for neuroendocrine markers such as neuron specific enolase, chromogranin and synaptophysin.  100
anonymous Nasal mass - malignant small round cell tumour, favour alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma 80% Other differential diagnoses of small round cell tumours should be considered too, and can be ruled in/out by immunohistochemistry. Electron microscopy is performed as a last resort.  50
