anonymous Hyperplastic polyp, 100% nil  50
anonymous Hyperplastic Polyp, 100% Should correlate with the endoscopic findings, and consideration has to be given to a repeat biopsy if necessary.  50
anonymous SIGMOID COLON : MIXED HYPERPLASTIC POLYP-ADENOMA (100%) Mixed polyp may also be associated with malignant potential.  100
anonymous serrated adenoma (80%) hyperplastic polyp (20%) Entire polyp should be submitted for histology to assess for invasion.  90

anonymous Serrated adenoma 100% Presence of mild nuclear atypia.  100
anonymous Serrated adenoma, mild dysplasia. 100% This is a small and superficial biopsy. A deeper invasive lesion cannot be excluded. Please correlate with clinical findings.  100
anonymous Serrated Adenoma (mixed hyperplastic/adenomatous polyp) 100% 1. Characteristics noticed in the present case: morphologically it resembles hyperplastic polyp. However some of the glandular cells show more atypia than usual but the atypia is less than that in traditional (tubular) adenomas. (Diagnostic Surgical Pathology Ch.34 Sternberg) 2. Need to exclude invasive malignancy in the vicinity because of gross tumour seen at sigmoidoscopy. This biopsy might not be representative.  100
