Qap (Anatomical Pathology)

Case: AP298
Contributor's Comment: This entity is basically epithelial dysplasia (PanIN) involving periductal glands which are common in uncinate process and giving rise to a multicystic appearance, in contrast to the main-duct type of IPMN. In fact, PanIN are present in the ducts in this case. The distinction between PanIN and IPMN is quite arbitrary: the former is a microscopic entity while the latter is a grossly visible lesion. (MST)
