Qap (Anatomical Pathology)

Case: AP312
Contributor's Comment: The present gastric tumour shows a hepatoid carcinoma with a minor conventional adenocarcinoma component. Serologically, the AFP (830 ng/mL) and CEA (145 ug/L) are elevated. On immunostaining, the tumour is also positive for GPC3 and CDX2. The hepatoid area shows some resemblance to yolk sac tumour. However, at present no immunomarkers reliably can make a sharp distinction between the two. (MST)
