Qap (Anatomical Pathology)

Case: AP135
Contributor's Comment: The malignant cells are positive for calretinin, cytokeratin and vimentin but not for CEA, Leu M1, and BerEP4, hence confirming their mesothelial nature.
Participants scored full marks when they diagnosed the presence of malignant cells and gave an appropriate comment arriving at the final diagnosis. Those mentioned "suspicious of malignancy" scored 80 (50+30) if with an appropriate comment and scored only 50 if no comment. Those with lesser degree of certainty of malignancy got less marked correspondingly, and the lowest mark went to those who thought it was benign. (MST)
